Product Overview

Ceramic tile chute liners use 92% alumina (Al₂O—? ceramic tiles —?one of the hardest commercially available ceramic materials (Mohs 9, Vickers hardness ~1,500 HV). They provide extreme resistance to sliding abrasion from fine ore particles at high velocity, delivering service life 5—?0× longer than rubber in appropriate applications. The ceramic tiles are bonded to a rubber backing that absorbs impact and prevents the brittle ceramic from fracturing under load.
