Product Overview

Heat resistant conveyor belts use specially formulated EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer) or SBR-EPDM blend compounds that maintain mechanical properties at sustained elevated temperatures. Standard SBR rubber softens and degrades above 60°C — heat resistant grades provide reliable performance at continuous temperatures up to 200°C.

— Temperature Measurement Required Before Ordering

Always measure actual material temperature at the belt loading point with an infrared thermometer before specifying grade. Belt surface temperature is typically 20-30°C lower than material temperature due to insulation effect of the material layer. We recommend measuring 5 representative loads and using the maximum as your design temperature. When in doubt, specify one grade higher — the cost difference is small vs the cost of premature belt failure.
