Pipe conveyor belts are standard flat belts that are formed into a closed tube by six idlers arranged in a hexagonal pattern around the belt. The belt rolls laterally into a cylinder, completely enclosing the material. At the discharge end, the belt opens flat to release material onto the next conveyor or into a bin. The closed-tube design provides zero spillage, zero dust, and the ability to navigate complex routing through a single flight.

Pipe conveyor belts cannot be specified in isolation —?the belt, idler frame geometry, transition zones, and curve design must all be engineered together. Elephant Rubber provides complete pipe conveyor belt specifications including transition zone design recommendations and idler frame geometry for all belt widths. Contact our engineering team with your routing plan and we will specify the complete belt system.
