Rubber expansion joints (flexible connectors) are installed in pipelines, chute connections, and equipment connections to absorb vibration, thermal expansion, and minor misalignment. They prevent the transmission of vibration between equipment and pipework, protecting both from fatigue damage, and allow thermal expansion without pipe stress.
